Answers Before You Book

What happens at the first appointment?
Your initial evaluation is a comprehensive psychiatric assessment — we’ll review your history, current concerns, and goals in depth. This isn’t a rushed intake; expect a thorough conversation, not a checklist. We’ll confirm your appointment within 24–48 business hours of booking.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, for Florida patients — we’re in network with several major plans (see our Services & Fees page for the full list). Georgia and Ohio patients are currently seen on a self-pay basis, with superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement. If your plan isn’t listed, reach out — self-pay options are also available.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes. We see patients virtually across Florida, Georgia, and Ohio, and in-person in Jacksonville, FL. Virtual visits are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
What ages and conditions do you treat?
We specialize in child, adolescent, and women’s psychiatry — including ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, autism-related concerns, PTSD, adjustment disorders, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and postpartum.
Do you prescribe controlled substances (like ADHD medication)?
Yes, for patients located in Florida, when clinically appropriate. All prescribing decisions follow a thorough evaluation and ongoing monitoring, in line with state and federal guidelines. At this time, controlled substances are not prescribed to patients located in Georgia or Ohio as they are only seen via telehealth, and monitoring requires periodic in person visits.
How do I access my patient portal?
Existing patients can sign in through our secure Patient Portal link in the site menu to message our office, view visit summaries, and manage appointments.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please refer to our cancellation policy on the Our Policies page. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the time to another patient.
How soon can I be seen?
New patient appointments are typically confirmed within 24–48 business hours of booking. Actual appointment timing depends on current availability.
Do you work with therapists or other providers involved in my care?
Yes — we welcome coordination with therapists, pediatricians, OBs, and other providers to ensure care is aligned across your whole treatment team.
