Paramount Wellness Collaborative (PWC) is a boutique psychiatric practice specializing in compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, mothers, and families. Led by fellowship-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist Shanique Ampiah, MD, our practice provides personalized psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy-informed care across Florida through in-person and virtual appointments — and serves Georgia and Ohio residents virtually.
We believe mental wellness begins with early intervention, meaningful connection, and whole-family support. A child's emotional well-being is deeply intertwined with the well-being of their caregivers — and lasting healing often occurs when both are supported together.
We also recognize that women — particularly mothers navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the demands of high-achieving careers — deserve psychiatric care built specifically around their reality. Whether you're managing a demanding job, a growing family, or both, care here is designed to meet you where you are, without judgment about how "together" you're supposed to look on the outside.

Care is provided directly by a double board-certified, fellowship-trained psychiatrist with specialized training in child, adolescent, and perinatal mental health — supporting families from pregnancy and postpartum through childhood, teen years, and beyond.
Symptoms don’t always fit neatly into one category. Whether it’s ADHD that looks like anxiety, mood changes that resist a simple label, or concerns that have been missed or misdiagnosed elsewhere, evaluations here are thorough — not rushed — so treatment is built on clarity, not guesswork.
Medication is never automatic. Every recommendation is explained clearly, weighed against your goals and concerns, and revisited as needed — especially during sensitive periods like pregnancy, postpartum, or adolescence, where the stakes of getting it right feel higher.
Appointments are unhurried and collaborative. You’ll never feel like a number — questions are welcomed between visits, and care accounts for what’s happening at home, at school, and in the family as a whole.
Flexible Access, Without the Wait
Insurance is one path to care here — but it’s not the only one. Many families choose self-pay for no prior-authorization delays and greater control over how and when insurance is involved in your care, particularly for sensitive concerns like ADHD evaluations or perinatal mental health.
Self-pay also means continuity with one dedicated psychiatrist, without network restrictions shaping your care. Standard appointments are available Monday–Thursday, 9am–4pm. Established self-pay patients may also have access to occasional later afternoon or Friday slots, based on availability. Initial evaluations are scheduled during regular business hours.
We accept all major credit/debit and HSA/FSA cards, and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan allows it.
